
State send off for cheer!

**Any girl interested in playing Girls Soccer this spring needs to come to the Girls Soccer meeting today during Academic Lab in Coach Daniels' room E208. It's very important that you attend. See Mr. Daniels for a pass to attend.
**Seniors: Mrs. Robinson and Mr. Beatty are looking for volunteers to work basketball games tonight from 5:30-8:00 and tomorrow from 4:30-9:00 If you can't come that early that is fine too. Please email Mrs Robinson if you can volunteer at any of these events.
**Attention all Drama Club members: There will be a Drama Club meeting tomorrow at 5pm. Attendance at this meeting is very important regarding new regulations going into effect. Please let Kaitlin or Kyndal know if you cannot attend.
**The Saturday Scholars program begins this Saturday, February 4th. Those who've signed up need to check their emails for further information.
**Peer Leaders - Our first meeting of the semester will be Monday, February 6 during Academic Lab in room E121.


Today's schedule. Please note that girls bowling at Bowl Haven is cancelled and they will practice at Airport Bowl after school. Our cheerleaders will travel to State today after school so we will send them off from the E. Building courtyard.

Alton contacted us this morning that they need to cancel the bowling match that is scheduled for tomorrow. We will practice at Airport Bowl instead.


Girls bowling won their match with Roxana on Tuesday. Nice work bowlers!

Congratulations to our cheer seniors! We are honoring them this evening as they’ll be at IHSA state on Friday for the state cheer competition. Very proud of these student athletes!

**Attention Seniors! Check your email for two important Google Form links from Mrs. Robinson. One of them is the form you will use to turn in Senior Quotes and activities for the yearbook. The other one is a ballot to vote for Senior Superlatives. If you are a senior but did not receive these emails, contact Mr. James immediately. Both need to be completed and submitted by tomorrow at 2:30pm.
**Attention Juniors and Seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or above: You are eligible to join our school's chapter of the National Honor Society. Please check your school email for information and to access the code to join our Google Classroom page. There will be a meeting tomorrow during academic lab in the CCC. Current members who were inducted last year do not need to reapply or attend the meeting.
**Sophomores, you will be scheduling with guidance today during academic lab. You will meet in the auditorium.

**The Pennies for Patients fundraising competition ends tomorrow by academic lab. This is your last chance to bring in donations! Make them big! Big Sisters will be coming by tomorrow during academic lab to pick up the boxes.
**Big Sisters: Check our Google Classroom page immediately! We need workers for the Bake Sale this Friday and all members need to prepare individually wrapped baked goods for the sale. Any questions, see Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Parmentier

Important: Tonight's girls basketball game with Central is rescheduled. It will be played this Friday before the JV boys game with Roxana. The time for this game will be either 4:30 or 5:00 pm. Will get the word out as soon as the tip time is officially set as waiting on officials availability.
The frosh boys basketball game on Friday at 5:00 with Roxana will now be played on Thursday before the Varsity girls game with Roxana. That is girls senior night and the varsity girls game will begin at approximately 7:30 on Thursday after the frosh boys game.

Parents and Students - Please be advised, all in-person classes for today Monday January 30, 2023 have been canceled. Students please check Google Classroom for your posted assignments and any additional instructions from your teachers. Coaches will be in contact with players/teams about practices. A couple of things to note on the weekly schedule:
1. Girls basketball will be varsity only this week with games starting at 6:00.
2. On Thursday's girls basketball senior night, we will do the senior night recognition at 6:00. Warm ups will follow and tip at approximately 6:25.
3. Senior night for cheer will be Tuesday night as they will be at IHSA State on Friday.
4. Senior night for boys basketball will be Friday night before the Varsity game warm ups.



A huge congratulations to the varsity cheerleaders and coaches on placing 4th at the IHSA sectionals and qualifying as one of the top 25 small varsity squads in the state. They will compete Friday at the IHSA State Series in Bloomington.




Good luck to Oiler Cheer today as they compete in the IHSA Sectional at Bradley-Bourbonnais. 12:10 is their scheduled competition time and will be live on the NFHS Network.

**There will be a meeting in E220, Mr. Forsting's room, tomorrow during academic lab for anyone interested in participating on the golf team next year. We will begin off-season training in the very near future and would like to cement a roster as soon as possible. See Mr. Forsting for a pass to attend.
