Wednesday, March 8, 2023 **After school tutoring is available everyday after school in room E118 from 2:30-3:00pm. **Student council is hosting a blood drive on March 13th. If you would like to donate, see or email Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Daniels. **Students on high honor roll 1st semester can pick up their voucher for 2 free Cardinal baseball tickets. See Mrs. Hayes in the Guidance Office. **Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Venvertloh will be sponsoring an EAWR Relay for Life Team on Saturday, April 15th. Relay for Life is a community event sponsored by the American Cancer Society where people from all over the Riverbend Area will come together to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Members of each team will also walk the track throughout the event to symbolize that cancer never sleeps and to honor those who are fighting cancer. Again the event is Saturday, April 15th from 3-10 pm at the EAWR track. All hours from the event count towards community service plus some fundraising prior to the event will also count for community service. If you are interested in being part of the EAWR Relay for Life Team please sign up in the Attendance Center by Friday the 10th. The first meet for the team will be during academic lab on Wednesday March 15th. **The City of Wood River is holding the annual Easter event on Saturday, April 1st. They are looking for volunteers to help with the event from 9:30am-12pm. If you would like to volunteer at this event, please sign up in the Attendance Center. **Sign up sheets are in the Attendance Center for any senior needing community service hours. You will be helping with Parent Teacher Night on March 15th from 4-7 and/or March 16th from 4-7. **Students needing hours for community service can meet in E110 at 2:30 to continue organizing materials for the upcoming community day. This week hours are available today & Friday. If you have questions, email Mrs. Kinkel. **The National Honor Society induction ceremony is Thursday night at 7 PM in the Memorial Gym.

The dresses are used but are newer styles and come in a variety of sizes. Thursday, February 23, 2023 **The King's Dance will be held this Saturday from 7-10 pm in the East Building Courtyard. Tickets for the dance will be on sale this week from Mrs. Timmins and Mr. Daniels, during academic lab and after school. Tickets are $10 each. There will be NO tickets sold at the door. Guest forms were due last Friday and only approved guests may attend. **Reminder to vote for King of Hearts in the East Building courtyard. Place donations into your favorite candidates box. Whichever candidate collects the most money wins King of Hearts! This year Big Sisters will be donating all money raised to a local charity. **Mrs. Timmins and Mr. Daniels are looking for a student to work the refreshment table at the King's Dance. If you would like to help, please email one of them asap! If you help, you will not have to pay for a ticket to get in. **Seniors: We are needing volunteers this week at the Regional Basketball games tomorrow from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. If interested please email Mrs. Robinson. **Students, Mrs. Kinkel will be unavailable today after school for community service hours.
