**Juniors will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment on Wednesday, March 22nd starting at 8:15 am through academic lab in the cafeteria, M200 or M201. Room assignments were shared with juniors, faculty, and staff last week. Students must have their charged chromebook to take the test. All students currently classified as a junior are required to take the test.
**Students on high honor roll 1st semester can pick up their voucher for 2 free Cardinal baseball tickets. See Mrs. Hayes in the Guidance Office.
**Students: Mrs. Robinson needs 15 volunteers for the Oiler Nation Brain Boost Night for preK-8th grade families on Monday, March 20th from 5:45-7:15. If you are willing to volunteer please email Mrs. Robinson.
**The first meeting for the EAWR Relay for Life team will be during academic lab today in E121. A list of students attending has been emailed to teachers.
**The City of Wood River is holding the annual Easter event on Saturday, April 1st. They are looking for volunteers to help with the event from 9:30am-12pm. If you would like to volunteer at this event, please sign up in the Attendance Center.
**Sign up sheets are in the Attendance Center for any senior needing community service hours. You will be helping with Parent Teacher Night tonight from 4-7 and/or tomorrow from 4-7.
**Community Service hours are available in Mrs. Kinkel’s room E110 tomorrow from 4-6pm.
**Reminder to get food surveys done by today due to no school on Friday. Baskets will be delivered tomorrow.


Baseball is in White Hall today at the White Hall Reservoir. Softball travels to Bethalto Sports Complex. Let's go Oilers!

A huge thank you to Mike Fahnestock State Farm for the fence screens in front of our baseball dugouts. He is also helping us with the softball dugouts. Those screens will be installed tomorrow.




Caught Doing Great Things also applies to our faculty and staff. Mr. Dickinson has been a wonderful addition to the maintenance staff at EAWR and one of the faculty members recognized him for the hard work he does on her floor. Great job Mr. Dickinson!

**Congratulations to Senior Art Club members Launa Crank and Quenishia Warren for each getting a piece of artwork into SIUE's Regional High School Art Exhibition! Their artworks will be displayed in the SIUE Art & Design West Gallery from March 15-23.
**Today's D&D Club meetings are canceled. We will not meet during Academic Lab or after school today.
**Surveys for career day should be administered 1st hour today. It is important for all students to select 7 different career interests (will go to 4 sessions) and Mrs Robinson will try and get students in as many of their selections as possible.
**Student council is hosting a blood drive next Monday. If you would like to donate, see or email Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Daniels.

Members of each team will also walk the track throughout the event to symbolize that cancer never sleeps and to honor those who are fighting cancer. Again the event is Saturday, April 15th from 3-10 pm at the EAWR track. All hours from the event count towards community service plus some fundraising prior to the event will also count for community service. If you are interested in being part of the EAWR Relay for Life Team please sign up in the Attendance Center by Friday the 10th. The first meet for the team will be during academic lab on Wednesday, March 15th.

**Career day is scheduled for Friday, April 28th and as part of that process we need all students to complete a career survey. Teachers need to pick up surveys from the mailbox before Friday morning and surveys should be administered 1st hour on Friday. **The National Honor Society induction ceremony is tonight at 7 PM in the Memorial Gym.


The following students were "Caught Doing Great Things"! Each of them received a positive referral to the attendance center where they met with Mr. Beatty. They each received a gift certificate to the Oiler Express Cafe in addition to being told the name of the faculty/staff who referred them and the reason. The picture is optional for the kids but we still want to recognize them. Great job you four!
