**Coach Colona is looking for volunteers to help with the Great River Road Run on Saturday, November 30th, from 8am to noon. If interested please contact Coach Colona at the email address sent to you by Mrs. Robinson.
**EAWR has partnered with Toys for Tots. Donation boxes are located outside the Main Office and in the East Building Courtyard if you would like to donate a toy for a child.
**The City of Wood River is hosting a Holiday Traditions Night Market in Downtown Wood River on Friday, November 29th. They are needing volunteers to help with different tasks at the event for two shifts--the first one from 3-6 pm and the second one from 6-8 pm. It will be held on Ferguson Ave. in Wood River. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up in the Attendance Center.
**Don't forget to reserve your yearbook! You can order it now for $50 before the price goes up to $60 beginning January 1--just bring $50 (cash or check payable to EAWR) to the Art Room, M-009. You can also order your yearbook online using the link on our school's homepage.

**If anyone is interested in playing softball, there will be an informational meeting in Mr. Beachum’s room (M104) Monday during academic lab. Get a pass from the attendance center to attend.
**The Hartford Library will be having an Old Fashion Christmas on Sunday, December 8th from 4-9 pm. If you would like to volunteer for this event please sign up in the Attendance Center.
**The Village of Hartford is having a Christmas Bingo night on Wednesday, December 11th from 5-9 pm at the Hartford Gym. If you would like to volunteer for this event please sign up in the Attendance Center.
**On Tuesday, December 3rd from 6-8 PM spirit club is going to host a poster party to make senior winter sports posters. This event is for seniors only and it will be held in the East Building Courtyard from 6 to 8 PM. All seniors who participate will receive service hours and again all seniors are invited. Pizza will be provided. Hope you can make it Tuesday the 3rd from 6 to 8 PM for the poster party.

Our Faculty and Staff had a "Secret Spirit Week" to surprise our students. The students had lots of fun trying to figure out what was going on each day
The Oilers ESports Program is performing well this morning at IHSEA State!
Just received word that today's third place basketball game at the Dupo Cat Classic is scheduled to tip at 12:30, not 1:00. OGB vs. Mt. Olive.
Today, 35 EAWR students took a trip to shop for area kids off of the Christmas giving tree before having lunch at Moonlight and dessert at Cafe Creations. A great day for all and a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community.

**The student council food drive is underway. Want to donate, but can't get to the store? $1 counts as 1 item. If you want to donate money, DO NOT leave it in the box, please take it to Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Daniels and let them know what box you would like to put it towards. The food drive ends tomorrow!

**Students can purchase a winter athletic pass from the Attendance Center for $5. This pass will allow an EAWR student into all winter home games for $5 (basketball/wrestling) except for IHSA contests. All winter athletes and band members get into winter events for free.
**Just a reminder regarding semester exemption. In order to be exempt from 1st semester finals a student must have 3 or fewer excused absences, no unexcused absences, 2 or fewer tardies, and a C or better in the class. (mental health days are not counted as absences towards exemption). Also if you have an A in a class you are exempt from taking the final in that class.
