We are currently transitioning between the fall and winter seasons. There are no athletic events scheduled for tonight. Boys bowling practice at Airport Bowl today is at 3:15. We will have a bus on the bus circle to transport any bowlers needing a ride. That bus will be here around 3:05 and will wait until approximately 3:15 before departure for Airport Bowl. Next week, this same bus will also transport girls basketball players to Keasler Center or East Alton Elementary during the construction on the Memorial Gym floor.
Have a great Thursday!
Be the reason someone smiles today! Have a fantastic Thursday Oilers!

EAWR Student Council Pumpkin Painting
10/27/2021
To Oiler Parents, Guardians and Community Members:
The safety of your child and all children in our school as well as the safety of the school staff and support personnel is very important to us. In order to maintain a safe environment for our children to study and learn, it is necessary that we practice our emergency and crisis response plans by having drills designed to exercise our procedures.
Today, 10/27/2021 the District conducted an interactive school safety DRILL focusing on a “lockdown” situation.
EAWR CHS #14 would like to thank both the Wood River Police Department and Wood River Fire Department, for their coordination and participation in the designed drill.
As a reminder, “if you see or hear something, say something.” We encourage our students, families and staff to report any possible security issues to administration immediately. This can be done through our EAWR mobile app, under the “Report It” button.
We are proud of these ongoing efforts to keep our schools safe and are doing everything possible to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff. We appreciate your cooperation and support.
Best regards,
Rob Miller, Superintendent
The Oilers fell last night in the IHSA Regional. They complete their first season in a challenging, new conference and left it all out there every night. We are proud of our student athletes and have learned that it is going to take commitment and work to become competitive in the Cahokia Conference. Let's go BigO!
Have a great Wednesday Oilers! Being kind is never wasted!
