Monday, November 14, 2022 **Juniors and Seniors--Cardinal calendar orders and money are due tomorrow. Please turn in to the attendance center. **The Great River Road Run is this Saturday and volunteers are needed. If you would like to volunteer, please meet at the Alton Visitor’s Center by 8am or earlier. Students can check in with Mr. Colona upon arrival. Volunteers will get a free T shirt and donuts. The race will be over at noon. If there are questions, please contact Mr. Colona or Mrs. Robinson. **Big Sisters: Our next meeting will be after school tomorrow at 2:36pm in Mrs. Parmentier's room M205. We will discuss the Walk-a-thon and the Oasis donation coming up. Any questions, see Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Parmentier. **Don't forget to reserve your yearbook! You can order it now for $50 before the price goes up to $60 beginning January 1--just bring $50 (cash or check payable to EAWR) to the Art Room, M-009. **Attention Seniors--if you are submitting a Senior Photo or a Senior Baby Photo for the yearbook, those pictures are due to Mr. James no later than January 6. Please email any digital photos to him, or deliver hard copies to the Art Room, M-009. **The play “The Butler Did It” is at 7pm this Friday and Saturday, and 2pm Sunday. Ticket prices will be $8 for adults, $6 for students, 2 and under free. **The senior cap and gown assembly is this Tuesday during academic lab in the auditorium. All seniors need to attend. **The MORP dance will be held on December 2nd after the home basketball game. All EAWR students are invited to attend.The theme is Polar Express, so dress for the dance in comfortable ( school-appropriate) pajamas! Tickets will be on sale the week of the dance for $5 and also available at the door for $7 (or $5 and 3 items for the upcoming food drive) If you would like to bring a guest, forms are available from Mrs Timmins. You must have one filled out and turned in by Monday November 28th. **Freshmen, you have received a ballot in your email from Mrs Robinson. Please use it to vote for MORP prince and princess. The ballot will close at 3pm today and candidates will be announced later this week.

EAWR Thespian Troupe 733 presents The Butler Did It this Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students, two and under are free.

We have no games scheduled today. Girls Bowling begins tomorrow at Airport Bowl. Interested students should register on 8to18 and have a good physical on file in the nurse's office.

We are scheduled to have close to 50 representatives from colleges, universities, branches of the military, business and unions. All local high school students and parents are invited to attend. **There will be a short informational meeting for track right after school today. Today's schedule: Girls bowling begins next Tuesday. Interested students must register on 8to18 for girls bowling and have a good physical on file in the nurse's office. Photos for yard signs and winter sports senior banners will take place again today at 2:30. Today, they will be down at the mural wall because of the College & Career Fair that will be set up in the courtyard. Yard signs are $35 and you must pay at the time of your photo. Winter Sports senior banners are paid for by a donation from the US Army and all senior winter athletes should come get their picture taken.

There will be over 40 different colleges/universities, branches of the military, and business/union representatives at the event. EAWR is located at 777 N Wood River Ave Wood River, IL.

Great job by Mrs Kinkel and Mrs Sharpmack on organizing today’s community event. Hundreds and hundreds of people from our community and surrounding communities attended. A huge thanks to Mrs Guthrie, Mrs. Timmins and the student volunteers for helping today. Also thank you to all the faculty, staff, and students that helped with setting up the event.

The community event has started this morning. The event will be open until noon at East Alton-Wood River High School in the Courtyard.
